Autumn Harvest
I am excited to be offering the Autumn Harvest LEADers Class this fall! The Autumn
Harvest classes will celebrate all the things we love about fall and will focus on general
expressive and receptive language skills which are critical skills for great communication with peers and adults! These are skills that can be purposefully developed even in young children with fun, engaging activities!

The areas covered during theme based activities include:
-
social skills
-
comprehension
-
expressive language
-
literacy skills
-
speech sounds
-
letter correspondence

In addition, each week your child will take home an idea or activity that you can do together to further enhance language and communication at home!

Please note: We will meet weekly at your child's school but classes will only be held on days that school is in session. If your school is out (or out early), so are we!

If LEADers Classes are not offered at your location, please contact me and I can talk with the staff at your school or location!
See some of the fun we've had so far...

We learned about all things Fall!! Leaves! Apples! Scarecrows! And of course... pumpkins!!
We created adorable finger puppets that looked like hedgehogs when we learned about Woodland Animals!
We put on a show with our finger puppets but we also had puppets on craft sticks for variety!
Measuring, mixing, planning ahead...all skills that children need! And a fun final product makes the wait time tolerable!
Small groups of kiddos work together to create one of a kind snowmen!
After we felt "snow" we got to toss our "snow"balls as far as we could throw them!
We used the Old Lady book series to develop receptive language skills!
A day at the beach is not complete without digging for treasures in the sand! We searched for rhyming words!
A racing theme is not complete without one's very own race car!
Exposure to favorites and introductions to new sports! So much fun...big hug!
Acting out the story of the little boy who grabbed too much and got his hand stuck!
We "kept our cool" when frustrated while playing ice hockey!
Finding scattered sheep (from the Boy Who Cried Wolf) and Segmenting words into individual sounds!
Practicing taking turns in conversations by playing balloon tennis!
Milkmaid and her Pail - how long can you balance it?!
